Linda The Bartender — Heru Project
Who Is Linda
- Amen Ra’s cousin, premium bartender based in Denver, CO (60-mile service radius)
- Has prestigious clients — she is IN DEMAND
- Currently uses TaskRabbit for bookings — hates it (fees fleece workers, no brand control)
- Trains bartenders (currently via FaceTime 1-on-1) — says training is lucrative
- Wants to dispatch bartenders she’s trained and trusts under her brand
- Wants to sell bar setups, equipment, help trainees develop signature drinks
The Vision — “Lynda.com of Bartending”
Linda The Bartender is not just a website — it’s a bartending PLATFORM with five pillars:
- Direct Booking — clients book Linda or her certified bartenders (replaces TaskRabbit)
- Bartender Dispatch — Linda sends certified bartenders to gigs, takes fair referral fee (QuikCarry dispatch model)
- Training Academy — QuikHuddle for live classes (replaces FaceTime), recorded courses for passive income
- E-commerce — bar setups, equipment, signature drink kits
- Bartender Branding — helping trainees develop signature drinks that brand them
Fat Cat’s Design — SACRED
- Robert “Fat Cat” Johnson designed the homepage and logo
- Fat Cat passed away in 2016
- Amen Ra’s brother also contributed to the design
- DO NOT change: the graphics, the spirit, the logo
- CAN change: page structure, add functionality, modernize layout
- Extract all assets from the WordPress/PHP repo and preserve them
- Fat Cat was the best graphic artist Amen Ra knew — “he would have loved AI”
Current State
- Main site:
lindathebartender.com— S3 bucket (static, Fat Cat’s design) - Training academy:
lindathebartender.info— Vercel (Next.js + Clerk + Neon PostgreSQL) - Repos (imaginationeverywhere org):
imaginationeverywhere/lindathebartender— PHP/WordPress (Fat Cat’s design assets)imaginationeverywhere/lindathebartender-bootcamp— TypeScript/Next.js (course platform)
- Clerk: Already configured (publishable key visible on bootcamp site)
- Courses built: 4 Course Combo Pack (800), Bartending 101 (650), New Product ($300)
Technical Decision
- Clean Auset scaffold — NOT building on the old bootcamp code
- Old code is REFERENCE ONLY for course data models and business logic
- Platform: Next.js 16 + ShadCN + GraphQL + PostgreSQL (Auset standard)
- Auth: Clerk (already has account)
- Payments: Stripe Connect (Linda = PLATFORM_OWNER, bartenders = connected accounts)
- Hosting: Move from S3 + Vercel → Amplify + Auset backend
- Mobile: Expo app with QuikHuddle integration
- ALL fees passed to customer (Rule #1)
Cross-Platform Synergies
- Site962: Linda’s trained bartenders can staff Quik’s venue events
- QuikBarber: Same service-provider booking pattern
- QuikCarry: Same dispatch model (driver dispatch → bartender dispatch)
- QuikHuddle: Live video training replaces FaceTime
Revenue Model
- Booking fee: customer pays Linda’s rate + platform fee + Stripe fee
- Dispatch fee: Linda takes referral % on bartenders she dispatches
- Training: course purchases + live class fees
- E-commerce: bar setup kits, equipment, branded items
- Certification: “Linda-Certified Bartender” credential
Why This Matters
- Family promise — Amen Ra has been promising to build this
- Proves Auset Platform works for solo entrepreneurs, not just Quik Nation internally
- Denver base expands geographic footprint beyond Atlanta
- Training academy = recurring passive income that scales
How to apply
When building Linda The Bartender, start with Auset scaffold. Extract Fat Cat’s assets from the WordPress repo first. Course catalog data can be migrated from Neon PostgreSQL. QuikHuddle integration is the key differentiator vs. just another booking site.
