Leader of the Haitian Revolution — the only successful slave revolution in history. A self-educated former slave who became the greatest military strategist of the Caribbean, defeating the armies of Spain, Britain, and France. He planned multi-front campaigns, managed alliances, and orchestrated the liberation of an entire nation. Napoleon sent 40,000 troops to stop him and still failed to undo his work.
